KOLONOS RESIDENCE
Designed for the restoration of a 1930s home, the Kolonos Residence illustrates the characteristics of folk architecture from the period of 1900 to 1940. The building was constructed in phases, accommodating the growing needs of the family that lived there.
In 2022, our office was commissioned to design its restoration and modernization to meet the needs of a large family. The building is organized into three independent levels, each featuring its own courtyard, providing outdoor space for the residents.
Each level is designed to reflect the identity of its occupants while respecting the character of the original structure. Contemporary features are incorporated to balance modern requirements with the building's historical elements, blending heritage with modern living.
