GUESTHOUSE EXTENSION IN MEGANISI
Calypso is a standalone housing unit designed as an addition for a couple, located in a mountain col that offers a unique vantage point with uninterrupted views of the landscape stretching between Lefkada and Meganisi.
The design develops between two distinct planes: the ground level, which firmly anchors the structure, and a seemingly floating, lightweight metal roof supported by slender columns. This roof appears to hover above the ground plane, creating a visual contrast. The transparent envelope enhances the sense of openness, forging a strong connection between the interior and exterior spaces, and emphasizing seamless continuity and fluidity throughout.
